22" IDEAL Toy Corp Saucy Walker Doll With Rare
Bangs. Her hair has been cleaned and bangs were rolled
on curlers. They are very thick, too thick for banana
bangs and they do not look to have been cut by a child or
Mommy. Please see the IDEAL Book doll that IDEAL sold
with curly bangs below the photos. This doll now makes 5
curly bang dolls that we have run across.
She comes with her new Kaiser Doll stand and her
Replica Hang Tag as well as her Saucy Styled dress and
Pinafore replica by: Lois
Pearson with Cotton
Slip, three Button Closures in the back and Matching Onesie.
Her white vinyl molded bow Shoes are made by IDEAL and her
socks are identical to the socks of the 50's made out of Rayon
and from Spain
have stiffened the bows for Display to last for many years to
come. Dr. Hubby has taken her completely apart and has
made her walk like a dream with her head turning with each
step. Merely hold her hand or arm to walk her. We have
installed our eye platforms in her head to help prevent eye
rolling and crossing and maintain her lashes to show at a
perfect level. Dr. Hubby installed the tiny white Teflon
balls on her eye mechanism also to help the "Flirty
Eyes" glide over the platforms.
elastic band is very wide and thick that holds her head on and
her eyes may not always close when she is laid on her back due
to the wide band interfering with the large and long metal eye
weight. This doll is to pose standing up on display and
we chose the band to be wide and thick which to us is way more
stringing bands are surgical elastic cord tubing and will last
for more than another 50 years as well. IDEAL
installed Rubber Bands and they can snap at anytime from deterioration.
For those of you who have purchased a doll in like her in mint
condition who has not had her bands replaced with elastic, do
not be surprised at any moment while walking her either her
head will fall off or an arm.
crier is mute but that is popular with the IDEAL Saucy Walker
after 50ish years of storage and possibly bathtub play years
ago. We do not replace the criers because her torso has to be
sawed in half to install a new one and that takes her value
away. Many criers cause loud rattling and we have to
take the crier out in bits and pieces.
It is Extremely
rare to find a Saucy Walker Doll that has a perfect neck
plate. Most all neck plates warped over time.
Personally I prefer them because the chin can be tucked under
the warped area and her head also can be posed to look more
like a child.
